Second Stage Round 4: Rosa Radom - Stelmet ZG 82-81

Round 4 in TBL means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Radom where host Rosa Radom (16-10) edged league's leader Stelmet ZG (20-6) 82-81 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Stelmet ZG. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Stelmet ZG won fourth quarter 28-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 25 personal fouls committed by Stelmet ZG helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American center Kirk Archibeque (205-84, college: Fort Lewis) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. The other American import point guard Korie Lucious (180-89, college: Iowa St.) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Rosa Radom players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) produced 25 points (made all of his eight free throws) and Montenegrin power forward Vladimir Dragicevic (206-86) added 13 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Rosa Radom have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position in Places 1-6 with 16-10 record. Defending champion Stelmet ZG dropped to the second place with six games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by PGE Turow who have the same record. Stelmet ZG will play next round against league's leader PGE Turow trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Rosa Radom will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Anwil in Wloclawek.
