Undefeated leader Rayos de Hermosillo delivered the eighth consecutive victory. This time they beat 7th ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (2-4) 93-88. Pioneros Los Mochis were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Rayos de Hermosillo shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 63.6 percentage. Point guard Jesus Coronado (185-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American forward Reginald Larry (198-86, college: Boise St.) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Rayos de Hermosillo's coach Dan Tacheny allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game.
