Svendborg made it all square against Randers stealing a road win tonight. It looked good early as Randers took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Svendborg had a 32-21 second period charge getting the lead and Randers were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 84-91. Svendborg made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Randers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Johnell Smith (180-80, college: New Orleans) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. The other American import center William Paul (208-88, college: Arkansas Tech) contributed with 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American-Belizean point guard Charles Burgess (186-84, college: Texas Tech, agency: Two Points) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists and American forward Bonell Colas (205-82, college: Florida) added 22 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Randers. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
