Chemnitz prevailed against visiting Rhein MB to win the series 2-0. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-13. But Rhein Main Baskets won third quarter 16-8. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Candace Williams (184-88, college: New Hampshire) had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international point guard Tina Menz (175-88) chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American guard Alyssa Karel (172-89, college: Wisconsin) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and her fellow American import forward Denise Beliveau (180-89, college: New Hampshire) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds.
