Quarter-Finals Round 2: Halle - Herner 76-78 OT

Herner survived overtime marathon against Halle to advance into the semifinal stage. SV Halle Lions were trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 20-18 charge of Herner TC, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 6-4. American point guard Quenese Davis (177-88, college: San Diego St.) scored 25 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Lisa Koop (197-85, college: Winthrop) chipped in 16 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. Herner TC's coach Marek Piotrowski used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international power forward Katharina Fikiel (194-87) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and American guard Tiffany Porter-Talbert (177-84, college: W.Kentucky) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Five SV Halle Lions players scored in double figures.
