Regular Season Round 39: Maurienne - Poitiers 95-100 OT

Poitiers (21-18) outlasted Aix-Maurienne (22-17) in overtime by five points 100-95 on Friday night. The game took place in Aix-les-Bains. But the guests from Poitiers were better at the end. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime then Aix-Maurienne managed to tie the game at the end of regular time. However that was Poitiers who were better in overtime eventually winning that period 15-10. Aix-Maurienne was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American point guard Justin Ingram (189-85, college: Toledo, agency: Two Points) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 6 assists. American-Dominican swingman Jeff Greer (196-79, college: Rutgers) helped adding 17 points and 8 rebounds. Poitiers' coach Rudy Nelhomme used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American Dar Tucker (193-88, college: De Paul) with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Jeb Ivey (190-80, college: Portland St.) scored 25 points and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Poitiers have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Evreux and Fos Ouest. Aix-Maurienne lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 17 games lost. Poitiers will face bottom-ranked Saint Vallier (#18) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Aix-Maurienne will play against SPO Rouen (#14) and hope to win that game.
