Regular Season Round 17: Byblos - Tadamon 77-68

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Tadamon (6-11) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Byblos (11-6) 77-68 on Saturday. The game without a history. Byblos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Byblos outrebounded Tadamon 39-28 including 18 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was Canadian center Michael Fraser (203-84, college: Oklah.Baptist, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. International power forward Ali Kanaan (207-85, college: Mass.-Lowell) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Hugh Robertson (198-89, college: S.Florida) produced 12 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Hassan Dandach (187-91) added 13 points respectively for the guests. Four Tadamon players scored in double figures. Byblos moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Moutahed. Newly promoted Tadamon keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Byblos will face higher ranked Amchit (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tadamon will play against the league's second-placed Sagesse (#2) and hope to win that game.
