NBL top team - Aishin Sea Horses (38-12) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Kumamoto V. (6-43) 97-52. The game without a history. Aishin Sea Horses led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Kumamoto V.'s 22. They outrebounded Kumamoto V. 51-25 including a 36-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Aishin Sea Horses especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. The best player for the winners was Jamaican center Kevin Young (206-84, college: Missouri) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. American power forward Gavin Edwards (206-88, college: Connecticut) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. American forward DeVaughn Washington (202-89, college: Ohio, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) produced 17 points and 8 rebounds and the former international power forward Hiromasa Omiya (198-82) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Aishin Sea Horses maintains first position with 38-12 record. Newly promoted Kumamoto V. keeps the sixth place with 43 games lost. Aishin Sea Horses will have a break next round.
