BC Donetsk toppled visiting Ferro-ZNTU to take 1-0 lead in the series. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. BC Donetsk looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when BC Donetsk made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of international swingman Dmytro Gliebov (198-88, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Igor Chumakov (207-90) contributed with 25 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Andrei Malysh (203-83, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Yakov Zmitrovich (200-84) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Ferro-ZNTU. Four BC Donetsk and five Ferro-ZNTU players scored in double figures.
