Everything could happen in Sibenik at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Jolly and 7th ranked Kvarner had identical 1-2 record. This time Jolly used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Rijeka 73-56 on Saturday night. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Jolly dominated on the defensive end, holding Kvarner to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Kvarner 34-20 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard Terry Smith (185-86, college: Mercyhurst) fired 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Luka Katura (194-89) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Jolly will face higher ranked Cibona (#3) in Zagreb in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Kvarner will play at home against the league's leader KK Zadar and hope to win that game.
