Regular Season Round 53: Fukuoka Rizing - Shinshu BW 67-89

The game in Fukuoka supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Shinshu BW (31-15) played at the court of 5th ranked Fukuoka Rizing (24-23). Shinshu BW smashed Fukuoka Rizing 89-67 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Shinshu BW. Fukuoka Rizing was better in fourth quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American players dominated also this game. Power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: Florida St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Patrick Sanders (198-85, college: Cal-Irvine) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. Forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and forward David Palmer (201-82, college: S.Utah) added 15 points in the effort for Fukuoka Rizing. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Shinshu BW. They maintain fourth place with 31-15 record. Loser Fukuoka Rizing keeps the fifth position with 23 games lost. Shinshu BW will have a break next round. Fukuoka Rizing will play again at home against Shinshu BW (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
