Second Stage Round 6: PGE Turow - Stelmet ZG 85-73

Round 6 in TBL means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Zgorzelec where host PGE Turow (21-7) beat league's leader Stelmet ZG (21-7) 85-73 on Sunday evening. It was a key game for the top position in Places 1-6. The hosts trailed by 14 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 12 points. The best player for the winners was the former international Filip Dylewicz (202-80) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. American forward J.P. Prince (198-87, college: Tennessee) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. PGE Turow's coach Miodrag Rajkovic used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Montenegrin power forward Vladimir Dragicevic (206-86) who recorded 17 points and 6 rebounds and the former international swingman Przemyslaw Zamojski (193-86, college: Independence CC, agency: Alti Sport) added 15 points and 7 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) respectively. Four Stelmet ZG players scored in double figures. PGE Turow keeps a position of Places 1-6 leader, which they share with defeated Stelmet ZG. Stelmet ZG will play next round against strong Anwil trying to make it back to the top of the standings. PGE Turow will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Trefl Sopot on the road.
