The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Asseco as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Places 7-12. Asseco defeated 4th ranked Polpharma in Gdynia 81-73. The game without a history. Asseco led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a good game for American point guard A.J. Walton (184-90, college: Baylor) who led his team to a victory with 8 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Piotr Szczotka (196-81, agency: Alti Sport) contributed with 15 points and 4 assists for the winners. American point guard Courtney Eldridge (176-80, college: NC-Greensboro, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) replied with 25 points and 4 assists and Serbian Nikola Jeftic (205-87) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Polpharma. Polpharma's coach Tomasz Jankowski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Asseco have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Slask Wroclaw and AZS Koszalin. Polpharma at the other side keeps the fourth place with 21 games lost. Polpharma will play next round against Stabill Jezioro trying to get back on the winning streak. Asseco will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked AZS Koszalin at home.
