Bnei Hasharon (#11) forced the game against Maccabi Rishon (#10) into an overtime, but lost by five points 87-92. The hosts were ahead by 6 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 22-20 run, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 10-5. Maccabi Rishon dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Bnei Hasharon's 36. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Maccabi Rishon (9-18) moved-up to ninth place. Bnei Hasharon at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 20 games lost. Maccabi Rishon's next round opponent will be higher ranked Hapoel Eilat (#4) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
