An interesting game took place in Badalona where higher ranked CAI Zaragoza (16-11) was upset on the court of ninth ranked FIATC Joventut (14-13) 82-57 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by FIATC Joventut. CAI Zaragoza managed to win fourth quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded CAI Zaragoza 69-45 including a 43-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. FIATC Joventut looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by CAI Zaragoza's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when FIATC Joventut made 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was point guard Guillem Vives (192-93) who scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. FIATC Joventut will meet league's leader Real Madrid on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. CAI Zaragoza will play against Unicaja Malaga (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
