Regular Season Round 40: Nantes - Evreux 68-90
Date: April 15, 2014
Very expected game when 15th ranked Nantes (15-25) was rolled over at home by seventh ranked ALM Evreux (22-18) 90-68 on Tuesday. The game without a history. ALM Evreux led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian-Canadian Olu Ashaolu (200-88, college: Oregon, agency: Norton Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized Burkinabe Jean-Victor Traore (204-85) who added 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four ALM Evreux players scored in double figures. At the losing side American Allen Durham (198-88, college: Grace Bible) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and swingman Nicolas Gayon (190-82) scored 15 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ALM Evreux moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Nantes lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 25 games lost. ALM Evreux will meet Orchesien BC (#16) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Nantes will play against the league's leader SO Maritime Boulogne and hope to secure a win.
