Very expected game when 6th ranked Kotwica (4-25) was rolled over on the road by second ranked Slask Wroclaw (16-13) 93-70 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Slask Wroclaw led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Kotwica's 42. Slask Wroclaw forced 20 Kotwica turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American center Paul Miller (208-82, college: Wichita St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. The former international Radoslaw Hyzy (204-77) helped adding 22 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!). Four Slask Wroclaw players scored in double figures. At the losing side Grzegorz Arabas (191-78, agency: Promotex) responded with 25 points and 4 assists and the former international center Rafal Bigus (214-76, college: Villanova) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Slask Wroclaw keeps a position of Places 7-12 leader, which they share with Asseco. Kotwica lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 25 games lost. Slask Wroclaw will meet at home Polpharma (#4) in the next round. Kotwica will play against the league's leader Asseco and hope to secure a win.
