Gussing coasted past Oberwart to level things up at 1-1. The game was mostly controlled by Gussing Knights. Redwell Gunners Oberwart managed to win third quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gussing Knights dominated on the defensive end, holding Redwell Gunners Oberwart to just 7 points in fourth quarter. American forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international point guard Thomas Klepeisz (185-91, agency: COSMOS International SM) chipped in 20 points during the contest. Four Gussing Knights players scored in double figures. Gussing Knights' coach Matthias Zollner felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Cape Verdean swingman B.J. Monteiro (195-90, college: Duquesne) responded with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Serbian center Zoran Krstanovic (204-82, agency: COSMOS International SM) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds.
