Semi-Finals Game 1: Galatasaray - Botas 74-48

Galatasaray cruised past Botas in the opening game of the TKBL semifinal series. It looked good early as Botas took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Galatasaray took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 26 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Botas to just 4 points in fourth quarter. Galatasaray dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Botas' 18. They outrebounded Botas 41-26 including 31 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Isil Alben (170-86, agency: 1x1 Sports) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Vincentian-Spanish center Sancho Lyttle (192-83, college: Houston) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Hungarian power forward Anna Vadja (191-84, agency: Josep and Nicolas) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized American swingman Barbara Turner (183-84, college: Connecticut, agency: 1x1 Sports) added 11 points in the effort for Botas. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
