Quarter-Finals Round 1: Sampaense - Alges 73-72

Sampaense secured a tough one-point home win over Alges to surge ahead in the series. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Alges won third quarter 20-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Chris Dowe (193-91, college: Bellarmine) stepped up and scored 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and power forward Helder Carvalho (205-84) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Sampaense players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international center Francisco Jordao (203-79) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and guard Diogo Correia (182-90) scored 17 points.
