Vitoria SC overcame visiting Ovarense for the first win in the playoffs. It looked good early as Ovarense took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Vitoria SC had a 27-13 second period charge getting the lead and Ovarense was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 72-85. Vitoria SC made 25-of-31 charity shots (80.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Ovarense turnovers. The former international swingman Jose Silva (194-89) nailed 19 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for the winning side and the former international forward Paulo Cunha (200-80) accounted for 15 points and 6 rebounds. Vitoria SC's coach Fernando Sa allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international forward Miguel Miranda (205-78, agency: Dynamics Global Management) came up with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Spanish power forward Sergi Coll (204-82) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Ovarense in the defeat. Five Vitoria SC and four Ovarense players scored in double figures.
