Rather predictable result when first ranked PGE Turow (23-7) won against 5th ranked Rosa Radom (16-14) in Zgorzelec 92-79 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by PGE Turow. Rosa Radom was better in second period 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. PGE Turow dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Rosa Radom's 36. PGE Turow forced 20 Rosa Radom turnovers. American forward J.P. Prince (198-87, college: Tennessee) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. The former international power forward Damian Kulig (205-87) contributed with 17 points for the winners. American point guard Korie Lucious (180-89, college: Iowa St.) replied with 20 points and his fellow American import power forward Kim Adams (201-82, college: Arkansas St.) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Rosa Radom. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. PGE Turow have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Places 1-6 with 23-7 record, which they share with Stelmet ZG. Rosa Radom lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth place with 14 games lost. PGE Turow will face Anwil (#4) in Wloclawek in the next round. Rosa Radom will play at home against Trefl Sopot and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
