Regular Season Round 55: Shimane SM - Shiga L-Stars 89-83

There was an upset when higher ranked Shiga L-Stars (25-24) were defeated on the road by tenth ranked Shimane Magic (10-39) 89-83 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 31-24 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Shimane Magic especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward Adrian Thomas (200-87, college: Miami, FL) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. point guard Kouki Yamabuchi (183-84) chipped in 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Marshall Brown (199-85, college: Missouri) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Brandon Fields (193-88, college: Nevada) added 20 points respectively for lost side. Five Shimane Magic and four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. Shiga L-Stars' coach Chris Boettcher rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Shimane Magic maintains tenth place with 10-39 record. Shiga L-Stars at the other side keep the fifth position with 24 games lost. Shimane Magic will face again higher ranked Shiga L-Stars (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
