Very predictable result when sixth ranked Aomori Watts (25-24) outscored on the road 11th ranked Saitama Broncos (4-45) 94-75 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Aomori Watts. Saitama Broncos was better in third quarter 27-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guyanese-American forward Gordon Klaiber (206-83, college: Fair Dickinson) fired 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American swingman Michael Joiner (200-81, college: Florida St.) produced 22 points and 8 rebounds and guard Janya Masumoto (183-88) added 22 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aomori Watts moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Shiga L-Stars.
