Regular Season Round 27: Giorgo Tesi PT - Sutor MGR 85-66

Date: April 19, 2014
Very expected game when 15th ranked Sutor Montegranaro (8-19) was crushed on the road by tenth ranked Tuscany Pistoia (12-15) 85-66. It was a great shooting night for Tuscany Pistoia especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. It was a good game for American swingman Deron Washington (201-85, college: Virginia Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Riccardo Cortese (195-86) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Forward Luca Campani (208-90) answered with 19 points and 7 rebounds and the former international guard Daniele Cinciarini (194-83) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Sutor Montegranaro. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tuscany Pistoia moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Cimberio VA. Sutor Montegranaro at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with 19 games lost. Tuscany Pistoia's next round opponent will be higher ranked Lottomatica Roma (#6) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sutor Montegranaro will play against the league's second-placed Cantu (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
