Regular Season Round 33: Groningen - M.Magixx 71-69

Date: April 19, 2014
Very predictable result when first ranked Groningen (32-4) edged at home 6th ranked M.Magixx (20-16) 71-69 on Saturday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. M.Magixx cut a 15-point halftime deficit to two at the end of the game. Groningen made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American swingman Jason Dourisseau (196-83, college: Nebraska) who scored 23 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). International guard Arvin Slagter (191-85, agency: Court Side) chipped in 9 points and 8 assists. Groningen's coach Ivica Skelin used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Patrick Richard (196-90, college: McNeese St., agency: KMG Sports Management) who recorded 27 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard Roger Franklin (196-90, college: N.Texas, agency: R.H.Consultancy) added 16 points respectively.
