Second Stage Round 10: Heffingen - Basket Esch 73-84

The game between Top Four teams took place in Heffingen. 4th ranked host Heffingen (5-22) lost to first ranked Basket Esch (26-1) 84-73The game was mostly controlled by Basket Esch. Heffingen was better in fourth quarter 26-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Alex Okafor (202-87, college: Princeton) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Slovakian power forward Stefan Svitek (203-77) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Basket Esch players scored in double figures. American forward Dominique Morrison (198-89, college: ORU) replied with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 17 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and guard Ted Schleimer (194-92) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Heffingen. Newly promoted Basket Esch maintains first position in League with 26-1 record. Heffingen at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth place with 22 games lost. Basket Esch's next round opponent will be Grengewald (#4) in Niederanven. Heffingen will play on the road against the league's second-placed Soleuvre in Belvaux and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
