Very predictable result when first ranked Toshiba Thunders (45-7) beat on the road 6th ranked Chiba Jets (17-36) 74-58 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Toshiba Thunders. Chiba Jets was better in third quarter 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. The other American import guard Cedric Bozeman (198-83, college: UCLA) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Alan Wiggins (206-85, college: USF) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and Kosuke Ishii added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Toshiba Thunders have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 45-7 record. Chiba Jets lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the sixth place with 36 games lost. Toshiba Thunders will face league's second-placed Toyota Alvark in Tokyo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Chiba Jets will play on the road against Tochigi Brex (#3) and hope to win that game.
