Everything went according to plan when third ranked Pau Lacq Orthez (16-8) beat at home 11th ranked Pays d'Aix (10-15) 68-61 on Saturday. Point guard Velia Bosch (166-88) stepped up and scored 16 points for the winners and Julia Borde (184-92) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists. At the losing side American forward Shenita Landry (188-87, college: Temple, agency: Two Points) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and Berengere Dinga-Mbomi (172-95) scored 11 points. Pau Lacq Orthez maintains third place with 16-8 record having seven points less than leader COB Calais. Pays d'Aix at the other side dropped to the tenth position with 15 games lost. Pau Lacq Orthez will face LTB 29 (#7) in Pleyber-Christ in the next round. Pays d'Aix will play at home against Avenir and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
