Very predictable result when fifth ranked Limoges CSP Elite (18-10) won against at home bottom-ranked Olympique Antibes (5-23) 99-93 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Limoges CSP Elite made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game, while Olympique Antibes only scored six points from the stripe. They outrebounded Olympique Antibes 35-22 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Limoges CSP Elite especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Olympique Antibes was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for naturalized Congolese forward Nobel Boungou Colo (202-88) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). American guard Alex Acker (195-83, college: Pepperdine) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Ghanian-British forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-88, college: Washington, agency: Interperformances) replied with 23 points and 4 steals (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and American guard Willie Solomon (187-78, college: Clemson, agency: Interperformances) added 22 points and 4 assists in the effort for Olympique Antibes. Four Limoges CSP Elite and five Olympique Antibes players scored in double figures. Limoges CSP Elite moved-up to second place, which they share with Le Mans. Olympique Antibes lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 23 lost games. Limoges CSP Elite will face ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Olympique Antibes will play against STB Le Havre (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
