Regular Season Round 28: Pau-Lacq-Orthez - Le Mans 75-85

Very expected game when 11th ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (14-14) lost at home to fourth ranked Le Mans (18-10) 85-75 on Saturday. The game without a history. Le Mans led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Le Mans forced 19 Pau-Lacq-Orthez turnovers. American players dominated the game. It was a very good performance for point guard DaShaun Wood (185-85, college: Wright St.) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 4 steals. Guard Vaughn Duggins (190-87, college: Wright St., agency: Pro One Sports) contributed with 16 points and 4 steals for the winners. Forward Ahmad Nivins (206-87, college: St.Joseph's) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and guard D.J. Strawberry (196-85, college: Maryland) added 16 points and 5 assists in the effort for Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Four Pau-Lacq-Orthez players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Le Mans moved-up to second place, which they share with Limoges. Newly promoted Pau-Lacq-Orthez keeps the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Le Mans will face Chorale de Roanne (#15) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play against Chalon/Saor (#8) and hope to win that game.
