An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Hyogo. Second ranked Wakayama T. faced 4th ranked Hyogo S.. Guests from Wakayama (38-13) smashed host Hyogo S. (9-41) 105-77. The game was mostly controlled by Wakayama T.. Hyogo S. was better in fourth quarter 30-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Wakayama T. shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Hyogo S.'s players. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota, agency: SportsTalent) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). The other American import forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) contributed with 25 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward Carl Hall (203-89, college: Wichita St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks and guard Tadahiro Yanagawa (183-86) added 19 points in the effort for Hyogo S.Four Wakayama T. and five Hyogo S. players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Wakayama T. have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Wakayama T. maintains second position with 38-13 record having eight points less than leader Aishin SH. Hyogo S. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth place with 41 games lost. Wakayama T. will play against league's leader Aishin Sea Horses in Kariya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hyogo S. will play on the road against Mitsubishi Dolphins in Nagoya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
