Regular Season Round 56: Hamamatsu P. - Bambitious Nara 71-75

Date: April 20, 2014
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (27-23) against ninth ranked Bambitious Nara (18-32) on Sunday night. Host Hamamatsu Phoenix was defeated by Bambitious Nara in a tough game in Mikawa 71-75. The guests were already 11 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 25-18 Hamamatsu Phoenix's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 75-71 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Adrian Moss (203-81, college: Florida) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Anthony Brown (203-86, college: Oklahoma St., agency: KMG Sports Management) who added 18 points during the contest. American forward Ray Nixon (203-84, college: Wisconsin) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds and the former international center Atsuya Ohta (206-84) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bambitious Nara maintains ninth position with 18-32 record. Hamamatsu Phoenix at the other side keeps the third place with 23 games lost. Bambitious Nara will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hamamatsu Phoenix will play at home against the league's leader Okinawa GK and will have a slim chance for a victory.
