Semi-Finals Game 1: Khimik - BC Donetsk 78-67

Khimik held off visiting BC Donetsk to take 1-0 lead in the semifinal series. BC Donetsk was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Khimik forced 20 BC Donetsk turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by BC Donetsk's players. Khimik brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Latvian Rolands Freimanis (206-88) stepped up and scored 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Sergei Popov (194-88, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists.
