Semi-Finals Game 3: Crailsheim - NBC 91-85 OT

Crailsheim needed overtime to tame NBC and gained 2-1 lead in the semifinal series. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 24-20 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 14-8. Crailsheim Merlins forced 21 NBC turnovers. NBC was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for naturalized American forward Jonathan Moore (203-82, college: N.C.Central) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 9 rebounds. American point guard Frankie Sullivan (185-90, college: Auburn, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 21 points. Crailsheim Merlins' coach Willie Young used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American guard Ahmad Smith (194-84, college: St.Bonaventure) with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import guard Wayne Bernard (190-81, college: Davidson) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
