Oberhausen claimed a tough home victory over Chemnitz and sealed the championship series appearance. ChemCats Chemnitz was ahead by 9 points after three quarters before a 19-7 charge of Oberhausen, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ChemCats Chemnitz to just 7 points in fourth quarter. American forward Monique Reid (185-90, college: Louisville) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and Dutch forward Sharon Beld (186-88) supported her with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Even 21 points by international point guard Tina Menz (175-88) did not help to save the game for ChemCats Chemnitz. American forward Candace Williams (184-88, college: New Hampshire) added 9 points and 8 rebounds for the guests.
