Regular Season Round 57: Shinshu BW - Gunma 95-79

Very predictable result in Nagano where fourth ranked Shinshu BW (33-17) defeated 9th ranked Gunma (14-37) 95-79 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Shinshu BW. Gunma was better in second period 25-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shinshu BW looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: Florida St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and forward Patrick Sanders (198-85, college: Cal-Irvine) chipped in 26 points. Shinshu BW's coach Ryuji Kawai used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was center Dillion Sneed (203-84, college: E.Tenn.St.) with 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and forward Carlos Dixon (201-81, college: Virginia Tech) scored 20 points and 5 assists. Shinshu BW maintains fourth place with 33-17 record. Gunma lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 37 games lost. Shinshu BW will face again Gunma (#9) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
