Regular Season Round 7: Knox R. - BA CoE 77-74

The game between closely ranked teams ended with bottom-ranked BA CoE's (0-6) road loss to seventh ranked Knox Raiders (2-5) in Wantirna South 74-77 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 14 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning next two quarters and won the game by 3 points. Knox Raiders made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Quite impressive performance for point guard Adam Doyle (176-91) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Delwan Graham (200, college: Jacksonville) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Isaac Humphries answered with 16 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and Xavier Cooks added 9 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for BA CoE. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Knox Raiders moved-up to fifth place in League. Newly promoted BA CoE still closes the standings with six games lost. Knox Raiders will face league's leader Mount Gambier Pioneers in Mt Gambier in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BA CoE will play at home against Brisbane Spartans (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
