Fourth ranked Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (4-2) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 8th ranked Forestville Eagles (2-4) 73-72 on Saturday evening. Forestville Eagles were trailing by 11 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 17-15 charge of Noarlunga City Southern Tigers, which allowed them to win the game. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forestville Eagles were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for Codey Ellison who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Tim Smyth (189-91) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Brad Gerlach (191-84) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals and American guard Jake Rios (188-86, college: Georgia Coll.) added 21 points in the effort for Forestville Eagles.
