There was an upset when much higher ranked West Adelaide Bearcats (4-2) lost at home to seventh ranked Central District Lions (3-3) 90-78 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Central District Lions. West Adelaide Bearcats was better in fourth quarter 26-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Central District Lions looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a very good performance for American guard Kyle Miller (191-87, college: Notre Dame, OH) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Swingman Christopher Clausen (198-87, college: N.Dakota) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. Five Central District Lions players scored in double figures. Central District Lions' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Blake Truslove (204-79) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and American point guard Jason Dawson (183-88, college: Mt.Vernon Naz.) added 24 points, 5 assists and 4 steals in the effort for West Adelaide Bearcats. Central District Lions maintains seventh place in League with 3-3 record. Loser West Adelaide Bearcats keep the second position with two games lost. Central District Lions will face North Adelaide Rockets (#9) in the next round. West Adelaide Bearcats will play against Sturt Sabres (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
