CSU Sibiu held off U Mobitelco to gain 2-0 lead in the quarterfinal series. The hosts trailed by 15 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 6 points. Serbian guard Milos Bojovic (198-81, agency: Beo Basket) scored 25 points to lead the charge for the winners and Bosnian-Croatian guard Matija Ceskovic (192-81) chipped in 25 points during the contest. The former international center Catalin Baciu (214-88, college: Clemson) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and Serbian forward Ivan Kuburovic (202-81) scored 22 points.
