No shocking result in a game in Starogard where fourth ranked Polpharma (10-22) smashed 6th ranked Kotwica (4-28) 102-70. The game without a history. Polpharma led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Kotwica's 34. Polpharma players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Kotwica's players. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. American Kevin Johnson (201-84, college: Humboldt St., agency: Hart Sports Mngm) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and Lithuanian point guard Ovidijus Varanauskas (187-91) supported him with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Even 20 points and 5 rebounds by Marek Piechowicz (201-88) did not help to save the game for Kotwica. point guard Michael Gospodarek (186-91) added 17 points for lost side. Five Polpharma and four Kotwica players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
