Regular Season Round 7: Dandenong R. - BA CoE 101-81

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Dandenong Rangers (2-3) outplayed at home bottom-ranked BA CoE (0-6) 101-81 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 101-81. BA CoE was plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for American forward Tony Lewis (200-89, college: Illinois St.) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Daequon Montreal (205-87, college: Boise St.) contributed with 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Isaac Humphries answered with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and George Blagojevic added 13 points in the effort for BA CoE. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dandenong Rangers moved-up to fourth place in League. Newly promoted BA CoE still closes the standings with six games lost. Dandenong Rangers will face Canberra Gunners (#8) in Belconnen in the next round. BA CoE will play at home against Brisbane Spartans and hopes to get finally their first victory.
