CAB Madeira defeated GDESSA at home court to punch the Liga Femenina Finals tickets. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But GDESSA won fourth quarter 22-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. CAB Madeira made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was international swingman Maria Correia (174-91) who scored 34 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 6 assists. American center Taj McWilliams-Franklin (189-70, college: St.Edward's, agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Laura Ferreira (180-95) who recorded 29 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and American forward Stephanie Sension (190, college: Green Bay) added 8 points and 14 rebounds respectively.
