Regular Season Round 29: Maccabi T-A - Maccabi Haifa 74-59

An interesting game for Maccabi T-A (22-6) which hosted in Tel-Aviv 3rd placed Maccabi Haifa (18-10). First ranked Maccabi T-A had an easy win 74-59. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Maccabi Haifa. The game without a history. Maccabi T-A led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American-Montenegrin point guard Tyrese Rice (185-87, college: Boston Coll., agency: Priority Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 7 assists. The former international David Blu (204-80, college: USC) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Maccabi T-A players scored in double figures. American forward Brian Randle (203-85) answered with 9 points and 7 rebounds and American-Venezuelan Donta Smith (200-83, college: SE Illinois JC) added 10 points and 5 assists in the effort for Maccabi Haifa. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maccabi T-A have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 22-6 record. Maccabi Haifa at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost.
