Regular Season Round 43: Nantes - Boulazac 78-67

Date: April 29, 2014
There was a minor upset when 13th ranked Boulazac Basket (18-25) was defeated on the road by fifteenth ranked Nantes (16-27) 78-67. The game was mostly controlled by Nantes. Boulazac Basket was better in third quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for American Allen Durham (198-88, college: Grace Bible) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds. American-Italian point guard Anthony Raffa (185-89, college: Co.Carolina) accounted for 21 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Durham is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Naturalized Swiss power forward David Ramseier (202-87) came up with 18 points and 9 rebounds and Aurelien Salmon (203-87) added 12 points respectively for Boulazac Basket in the defeat. Boulazac Basket's coach gave the chance to play for ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Nantes moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Rouen. Boulazac Basket at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 25 games lost. Nantes' next round opponent will be league's second-placed JL Bourg on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
