Finals Game 1: ICIM Arad - Targoviste 77-78

Targoviste upset ICIM Arad on the road to take 1-0 lead in the Finals. Jenna Smith nailed a late bucket to seal the victory for Targoviste. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But ICIM Arad won third quarter 28-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American center Jenna Smith (191-88, college: Illinois) stepped up and scored 25 points and 6 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners and American-FYR Macedonian Chrissy Givens (180-85, college: Middle Tenn.St.) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side American power forward Destiny Williams (185-91, college: Baylor) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import guard Monica Engelman (180, college: Kansas) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four ICIM Arad players scored in double figures.
