Levski Sofia held off visiting Rilski in the opening game of the quarterfinal series. Rilski trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 20-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 82-89 at the end of the game. Levski Sofia looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Brandon Heath (190-84, college: San Diego St.) fired 21 points and 7 assists for the winners. International Hristo Zahariev (199-90) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Four Levski Sofia players scored in double figures. American guard Justin Gray (188-84, college: Wake Forest) produced 25 points and 7 assists and the other American import forward Sean Barnette (198-86, college: Wingate) added 19 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Rilski's coach Rosen Barchovski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
