Regular Season Round 44: Fos Ouest - Lille 77-75

Sixteenth-ranked Lille Metropole (15-29) was very close to win a game against seventh ranked Fos Ouest (24-20) in Fos-sur-Mer. Fos Ouest managed to secure only two-point victory 77-75. However their fans expected much easier game. It looked good early as Lille Metropole took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Fos Ouest had a 25-17 second period charge getting the lead and Lille Metropole was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-77. It was a great shooting night for Fos Ouest especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was point guard Edouard Choquet (188-88) who scored 21 points. Jamaican-American Sherman Gay (201-82, college: Loyola Mary) chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds. Cape Verdean-Portuguese forward Ivan Almeida (197-89, college: Stonehill) produced 21 points and American power forward John Fields (205-88, college: Tennessee, agency: Allegiant Athletic Agency) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Fos Ouest maintains seventh position with 24-20 record, which they share with Maurienne. Lille Metropole at the other side keeps the sixteenth place with 29 games lost.
