Vitoria SC overcame Lusitania in the opening game of the LPB semis. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Vitoria SC's pressure prevailed and they won that period 29-15 extending their advantage to 15 points. They made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. International forward Joao Balseiro (192-87) stepped up and scored 31 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard Pedro Pinto (188-88) chipped in 14 points and 9 assists. Four Vitoria SC players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Jaime Smith (191-89, college: Al.-Huntsville) responded with 24 points and 6 assists and the other American import Zane Campbell (203-90, college: Al.-Huntsville) scored 20 points.
